Bro I lurked here for a while before getting on Finasteride and I always saw you portraying it in a negative light. It was people like you and the horror stories that took me months to make the decision to start. I think people who are less active are more likely to experience sides. That being said I would start on a small dose like 0.2mg or less, especially if you're a smaller guy (weight wise). If you're really worried you can microdose at 0.05mg and less and it'll still reduce scalp DHT by a large amount.

Defective is a strong term but technically, anything which modulates your hormones is gonna make you feel a little off-colour and lowering DHT, an androgen with profound neural effects is definitely not a free lunch.

Could it be a factor not related to Finesteride? Maybe, but I can't pin point any other plausible factor

After all it's a medication designed for prostate enlargement so It's possible it's messing with my system

I'm willing to take the trade off to keep my hair but If I can find a way to keep my hair without it I would stop taking it

Finasteride is really safe? have you not read all the recent studies coming through on it?
