Do you ever want to ask strangers about their male pattern baldness?

I work as a cashier, so I see many people with male pattern baldness everyday. I feel compelled to ask them when they started to lose their hair, if they took Propecia, etc....

I never ask, but I wish I could. Ever since I started to lose my hair, the first thing I notice are people's hairlines. It's also amazing how many women lose their hair, even younger ones.

I wish I could know the history of these people, and see how I compare.
I'm sure they would be offended, and It would be very unprofessional of me to ask. Still, it is constantly on my mind.

everytime I see a guy with thinning hair or recession I want to ask him.

but never have the guts to.

after you start losing you just find yourself examining everyones hair.
it's a habit I just can't get rid of.

I don't want to ask people about their hairloss. But sometimes when I'm at a bar or such places and I see a guy with hairloss, I sneak up behind him and shout in his ear: "GET ON FINASTERIDE MORON!!!!".

I sort of think the same thing on the guys who are just so badly balding, and have just terrible hair styles as they try to cope. I very much respect people who don't want to bother with treating male pattern baldness, but I don't understand when people don't change their hairstyle to suit it better.

on a much more worring note, when i see someone with a full head of hair that looks similar to what mine was i fill up with anger and it feel depressed for the rest of the day. why am i the one losing hair.

also on quite a regular basis i think to myself i wonder how many of these people with full heads of hair are on finasteride

It's called life, and no one said its fair. :(

And, I also wonder who is on finasteride. Especially actors with great hair still such as Cruise and Pitt.

I don't think many of them are on finasteride. They can afford to have transplants by some of the best doctors around. I think most of them have small transplants throughout their career. I believe Cruise has had a few.

Ok, first line of offense is... respect! Don't put down others or it's sure to head your way. Second, if putting down someone else is your way of coping with your challenge, know that your egocentric ways will only increase your challenge and in the end, make you more discouraged.
