Noticed a couple of interesting comments in another thread where people seemed pissed off that famous people had hair transplant surgery and it got me thinking whether in general I'm annoyed when celebrities have work done on their hair.
I like to think I'm someone who doesn't care what the 'stars' are doing with their appearance and I also think people should be able to do what they want with money they've earned but actually I think it does piss me off a bit.
Going bald wouldn't be half as traumatic as it is if 90% of young balding men in the public eye didn't use their wealth to get expensive treatments the average joe can't afford, making it appear like no successful, attractive or talented person under the age of 40 ever goes bald.
It just creates a cycle where fewer 'desirable' young men are bald so more stigma gets attached to being bald, meaning even more men pay for expensive surgery and the guy with an average job or a kid to feed gets stuck at bottom still being treated as even more of an outcast.
I think balding men as a group as a whole would be a lot happier if no one had ever worn a toupee or got a hair transplant or taken a single finasteride pill. Dog eat dog though I guess.
