Title says it all, if so what do you go for?

A full beard?
Mustache?
Goatee?
Van Dyke?

i think it does help out in the looks column. normally the hairline is the sole provider of the "framing structure" of the face. facial hair takes off some of the responsibility of the hairline to provide this structure- basically, it helps keep the eyes off the hairline :)

if you can grow a full out beard (not patches anywhere) i think the not shaven look can look pretty money (the i don't give a f*** appearance) you know, somewhere between a beard and clean shaven. if i could grow a full beard i would definitely sport this look. but, alas, i cannot grow a nice beard, and it takes me a week and half to really get anything and that just looks sparse and spotty :)

I like to have some designer stubble which looks pretty neat. Kinda makes me look mean and moody.

When I'm clean shaven I have the face of an Angel. So in general terms yes, having a bit of stubble makes you look a little better.

See, I consider you to be lucky. I have been shaving since I was 16 or 17, and I hate shaving! I also hate mustaches and beards but my facial hair seems to grow like someone put Miracle Grow on it, so I am pretty much screwed. I try to keep it clean-shaven, but I will admit that I seem to get a lot more nice looks from women when I leave it for a day or two and have scruffy little stubble on my face. Either that or they think I look funny, one of the two.
