Do our Livers get effected as a reult of years on finasteride/dutasteride

Ive had a few blood tests in the past months, and the doctor points out to me each time that my liver enzymes ALT/AST are always elevated a little. Im starting to think its from 2 years of finasteride and now over 2 years of dutasteride. I know we dont think much about these things and just pop the pill once a day, but what about the liver who has to secrete the drug...
Any thoughts...

I think this is a very high possibility since most hormonal drugs are metabolized by the liver and therefore puts some stress on it. A little elevation shouldn't be a problem though because liver is very resiliant and regenerates itself unless severly damaged.

Thanks apoc, i think its something we have to keep in mind while taking any drug long term
