Do Lighter Hairs Indicate Balding/miniaturization?

I have long light blond hairs on the hairline on the sides of my head above the sideburns but below the temples — sorta where the hair grows away from my face. They’re hard to see under some lights.

I had very blond hair as a child. I think these sections have retained some of that light blond color, but I’m having trouble finding photos to confirm.

But from looking at these alone, do those lighter hairs generally mean that the hairs are miniaturizing?

I’m not an expert but I would say that is thinning, I don’t really see any at your forelock. Although some people do have natural heterogeneity in their hair color and thickness. Go see a derm

Looks like you're balding but you still got a good head of hair. Have you tried finasteride?

I’m going in a couple of weeks. He doesn’t specialize in hair loss, so I’m not getting my hopes up that he’s going to be able to provide much insight, but we’ll see.

I don’t think I’m going to be able to take it because it has the potential to aggravate my mild epilepsy. So I may be SOL.

Are you on valproate or trileptol? I have seen hair thinning with those medications before in my family.

Also ya there are case reports of epilepsy exacerbation from propecia, sorry man :-/

If it is thinning it could stop and just be a mature hairline
