I talked with my mom about it and she claims I always had a hairline like this, and she also has it similair (but i do have it more extreme) The hair in the middle is still fine. So it might just be my natural hairline?take closer pictures from the front and top
then compare them to older pictures
it doesnt look like it from here tho. if you are really that worried tho then id just take monthly pictures from the top and front
so it could just be my natural hairline? I never really paid alot of attention to it because i always had long hair but my niece came over today and she had a ponytail and i saw she had it similair to me (again: me a LITTLE more extreme but still, it might just be a gene thing?)Really you may have always had hair like that no one knows but you. If anyone can tell its you since you have lived your life with the hair so take pictures and see if it gets worse. Go see derm if you worried.
What is/are finasteride and nizoral?you won't know. not til it's too late. i know a lot of my female friends seem to have 'receding hairlines' - only they don't progress from that. me, i'd lean towards that you're losing it. looks like a v. similar progression to my own actually - i was probably at pretty much the same stage as you at your age - a bit further even. i jumped on nizoral and finasteride at 18, am 21 on january the 8th. have never regretted taking steps towards peace of mind. i'd recommend stick it out til 18 and then get on finasteride. til then, nizoral.
do you have a real itchy scalp ever? that seems to be a good indicator of hairloss.
Well i'm not sure if they're receding, i never paid any attention to it, it could always have been like this. And is the pigment really that different? i think it's mroe of the fact that theres jsut less hair which makes it seem lighter? You ca't be 100% sure... I actually would like to see a picture if thats okay?It is definitely male pattern baldness, 100 % sure of it. Exactly how mine looked when it started with the sides becoming thinner and brighter in color and then the corners started to recede.
But what gives it away the most is your sides receding and losing their pigment/color. I could show you a picture of how my hair looked 3 years ago when I had the same length as you and it would look identical.
Regarding the pill: Are there any possibly side-effects? And where can i get it? Do they only sell it in america? (I live in europe)Andfinasteride and nizoral - finasteride is a pill you take once a day and is there to maintain hair and often regrows a bit too. nizoral is an anti inflammatory shampoo used once every two or three days which helps with itching, dandruff and oiliness. they are two parts of the 'big 3' of hairloss - the third part is minoxidil, brand name is rogaine, which is a growth stimulant used twice a day by rubbing it into your scalp.
me brother, i still say male pattern baldness. i remember feeling like you did before i came to terms with it. at least i'd say take photos of your scalp in real harsh light once every few months, check back in 6 or 7 months time. if you're stable then ignore it.
good luck,
f
