My hair feels noticeably thin at the top:

The flash makes it look a little worse than it actually does, but it's still something. What do you think?

The crown of your head is getting thin so yeah I'd say so. The good thing is that you caught the problem quick as your hair looks good other than that. The sooner you do something the better chance you have of retaining what you have.

It's possible. If the thinning is noticeable, as you say, then it probably is. Tell us about your family. Any of the men, or women, have problems with hair loss? For me, I have the same damn thing as my dad, so I know where it came from.

My dad has receding temples, but that came much later in life for him.

Just call a dermatologist and ask that you want to be checked for male pattern baldness. Good luck! To be honest, I'm not sure if you have male pattern baldness, since some of the pictures show the same pattern on the back of your head by your neck, which probably isn't male pattern baldness.
