Senile alopecia rules out a hair transplant. The good thing is that it's exceedingly rare to have it at your age. The most likely cause of your thinning on the sides and back is some sort of deficiency or hormone imbalance. Have you had a thyroid test recently?The back is definitely a lot thicker than the rest of my hair. I do have thin sides though. In one of the pictures the back of my hair is parted because of wearing a sweat cap all day which I should've mentioned so it doesn't normally look like that. I'm guessing if it's senile alopecia I'm screwed for hair transplant
If the hair in the back isn't thinning, it's not DUPA.I've had a thyroid test and it came back normal. Several hair transplant doctors have told me I have nice thick hair in the back but it definitely doesn't look like that from some angles.
