You do in fact have a textbook example of a receding hairline. If you look at the right of the picture at the corner of your hairline above your left temple there is a lot of miniaturized hair. If you don't do anything you'll lose that area very soon. Good news is you caught it at the perfect time, if you start treatment now you'll keep those hairs and maybe regain some as well. Get on finasteride and if you're not happy with the results from finasteride you can add minoxidil but I wouldn't bother with it unless you have to; it's a huge pain in the ***. I've found that shampoo doesn't make that much of a difference but if you want your hair to look better very quickly you can use Regenepure or Revita which have a very solid reputation as hair thickening shampoos. They won't regrow hair but they make the hair you have much healthier. Ultrax is very popular on Amazon but it's also the most expensive and when I tried it I didn't see results that warranted the high price.
