So I don't know how everyone else does it, but for the people here who like to make their own custom topicals and have trouble filtering out particulates, for example from crushing pills, I've found an effective method:
the Aeropress!
For those who don't know what this is, its a manual coffee brewer: https://aeropress.com/use-it-now/getting-started
I've had this in my kitchen for a long time, but I never thought of using this until trying out cetirizine. However I don't recommend using the included paper filters as that will likely absorb and reduce the concentration of your solution. I landed on using a fine metal mesh filter. So just load up the aeropress with your pre-mixed solution as if it were coffee and then plunge and you'll have removed a lot of the particulate. Really fast and easy to clean up.
