dissolving finasteride in alcohol

Hi guys, I tried this by dissolving 5mg in 100ml of vodka, so i could take an even, but small dose by taking it orally.

I found that there was no effect? I could feel the hair itch coming back, which was gone while taking the same dose in tablet form.

Does dissolving finasteride in alcohol disable finasteride? Any chemist care to comment?

I am not a chemist, but I have been using topical finasteride 0.15% from my doctor for 3 months now. I do not know if it helps at all, I will see in a few months time.

Ive done this myself. I do not think that alcohol is disabling finasteride. It is quite common that underground labs sell medicines dissolved in alcohol due to simplyfing the dosing.

I've seen finasteride dissolved in alcohol for sale. I don't think it would be for sale if alcohol consumed it's effect.

I have solved my finasteride/proscar 60 mg = 60 ml, 1 mg = 1 ml.
