Discussion on how to mix/measure topicals (RU, LiCl, VPA, castor oil etc)

I'm delving into the world of experimental treatments (swisstemples protocol) which means mixing things at home to penetrate the skin and have a few questions

1) What agents to use with each chemical? The only ones I know of are DMSO and ethanol but I don't know the best place to buy nor which ones to use it with

2) What supplies do you need?

related:
3) How do people measure this stuff out? Back in chemistry lab in school we had special scales and tiny spoons. Do you literally buy a chemical scale on ebay/amazon and measure out your LiCl powder, then weigh out the ethanol and mix it in a bottle and pipette it onto your scalp?

I wish there was a comprehensive guide on doing this stuff but I haven't found it yet.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk....H0.Xmicrospoon.TRS0&_nkw=microspoon&_sacat=0

10mg microspoon + 1ml of vehicle:

1 full scoop = 1%
2 full scoop = 2%
3 full scoop =3%

etc.

PS* 1/10 of a 10mg microspoon = 1mg(a single grain of powder) = 0.1%

1mg / 10ml of vehicle = 100mcg/ml, which is 0.01%

Everything revolves around a 10mg microspoon.

As long as you understand the density of compounds can differ quite a bit. I once used phenibut with a spoon from a dutch webshop that came included. The spoon with that batch of phenibut was like ~300mg. Few weeks later I order a new batch of phenibut. The batch was different in appearance. Nonetheless I didn't think anything of it and took 4 spoons again. Slept for 15 hours straight and woke up a bit drunk the next day. Effect was heavy to say the least. What happened there? The webshop didn't include new spoons with their new phenibut batch but used the old ones. I didn't take ~300mg per spoon with the new batch, nope it was ~600mg. So the new batch was roughly twice the weight in the same volume. No wonder the effect was that heavy.

All in all using spoons like that can be inaccurate as hell.

I am a diffuse thinner with not-buzzed hair. I find it difficult to cover my entire scalp with 1 ml of solution.

If the recipe for a given hair chemical formulation is:

10 mg of "hair chemical"
1 ml of 70% ethanol, 30% PG

Can I do the following?

10 mg of "hair chemical"
2 ml of 70% ethanol, 30% PG

Note: I would be doubling the Ethanol/PG solution, while keeping the "hair chemical" dosage the same. (10mg in both scenarios.)

Where do people buy these agents? DMSO/Ethanol?
I want to buy ethanol but I keep seeing ones on ebay that have other stuff mixed in like Acetone, Isopropyl Alcochol etc. Stuff that may not be good for the scalp.

In this case you would diluting the percentage chemical in half

Amazon. You can get anything on amazon.

I'm probably one of the few naysayers towards DMSO. It really didn't do anything beneficial for me except irritate my skin (and I don't even have sensitive skin.) Also it ITCHES LIKE **** when you put it on. That's why you'll see 70/30 mixtures of DMSO/water or 50/50 because it dehydrates your skin and stings when you put it on.

I tried using it for muscle aches, didn't do anything for that. I tried using it as a spot treatment for acne, didn't do anything. I tried using it on my scalp, it just dried my scalp out.

I don't know where people are getting these miracle claims from DMSO, the only good thing it does well is help increase absorption of other chemicals. I'm convinced DMSO by itself doesn't do anything except give you a tiny amount of supplemental sulfur.
