Hi everyone,
I have a issue and maybe someone can help to resolve my confusion.
I'm a diffuse thinner, I guess...my problem spot is the first 3 or 4 inches in the front. Now, I read a lot about how hairs get thinner and less pigmented as male pattern baldness kicks in. It seems a little different for me, if this is true, though.
For me it seems like it's the density that has changed. The hair strand itself doesn't seem thinner on top, there is just less hair there - period. I don't see any visible difference in thickness between a hair from the top or the side of my head. (Granted, I've always had thin, smooth hair but it used to be densely thick.)
Otoh, the hair in my problem area is a lighter color. It seems like on top of an actual lower hair count that the hair was slowly, randomly growing in lighter... looking at an old photo it seems like my hair has slowly moved from being an almost dark brown to a more medium brown over the last 5 years.
Given this, if I'm understanding things correctly... does this effect my changes for improvement or how I should tackle it?
