i'm just thinking down the road in two years when the diffuse gets unbearable, do certain surgeons do hair transplants for diffuse thinners?? can someone give me more information or websites on hair transplants for diffuse thinners?

I've seen Shapiro and Hasson&Wong do some good things with diffuse thinners. I think those 2 may be your best bet.

When I spoke to my Dr. (Alvi) about transplanting in the thin areas, he said he could do it but preferred not to due to the possiblity of shock loss of the existing hair in the thinning area.

Can someone explain this shockloss phenomena. Does it occur when extracted follicles are placed in areas of existing hairs causing original hairs to fall out? Does the hair that falls out due to shock loss grow back?
