I figured I would ask because personally I never had and am wondering whether I should see a dermatologist.

Yes, Definitely see a Derm.

It will help you figure out what Norwood You are and it will also help you keep an up-to-date record on your hair loss and what/how your hair loss is occuring

Consider it. Because its worth it.

Hmmm, I am on a programme with observations of progress by a pharmacist rather than a trained Dermatologist. I don't know whether that makes me a yes or a no. Probably a no?:?

You may go for peace of mind. I did back in the day. However, understand that most derms (I say most because of the comments I've read on these forums over the years) do not understand how your basic hairloss treatments work, or where they work on the scalp (frontal hairloss), which ones work the best, etc.. so if you do go for a propecia script or whatever I suggest seeking the guidance of the senior members on this forum for suggestions on the most effective way to treat your male pattern baldness.

(Not all derms are uneducated about male pattern baldness, but the 1st hand experience of myself and others seem to back what I said about them :) )

You should not be on any prescription medication without the supervision of some medical professional. Its stupid to do otherwise these are not flint stone vitamins. Even if dermatologists are completely stupid about hairloss its still definitely the safe way to do this. You need someone to keep track of your results and watch for problems before you spot them.
