Did anyone use oral ketoconazole for Seborrheic dermatitis??

Hello,

I got this condition and I am fed up of keeping it under control.
I have read on other forums that someone was taking oral ketoconazole and it had completly put SD into a remission, and it didnt come back since!

I just wanna know if anyone used it...and if so, what was the outcome?

I am sick of the hair shedding with no end for years and years.......and the scalp is always inflamed and painful!

I am taking for sometime now fincar cut into fifths with Iron, spironolactone, Copper peptides! and nothing stops that hair shed....now I know what is the real problem ......... the freaking SD

Ketoconazole shuts down an enzyme in the androgen production pathway. CYP17, I believe. There would be decreased or no production of any hormone after progesterone and pregnenalone if you went the route of oral ketoconazole. No androgens and likely no glucocorticoids, either, from your adrenal glands. I have to do some research to see if this same phenomenon happens in the testicles.

A defect in this enzyme is what causes congenital adrenal hyperplasia.

So after the use of oral k. SD went into a remission and so far had not come back ? is that even possible ? I thought that by stopping any drug the disorder comes back no? I dont remember for how long the person was using it, probably for a few weeks...it has side effects no?

I might wanna put that into remission!
and take oral K for 2 weeks course !!!!
ask your derm I know they prescribe...I dont know about side effects tho..but I kno the sh*t is working!
