is there ANY way at all of diagnosing male pattern baldness without the norwood scale charts? any blood tests? any way of diagnosing t.e ? as i understand it...both involve shedding of hair for a long period of time. does T.E hairloss have the same characteristics of male pattern baldness loss ?
i do suffer from alot of everyday stress regarding the smallest stuff.
"If the doctor gently tugs on some hairs on your scalp and four or more hairs come out, you probably have telogen effluvium. Also, the hairs will look like hairs in the telogen phase — they will have a white bulb at the end that was in the scalp, and will not have a gel-like covering around that end of the hair." <-- gel like covering :? ?

i lose hair everytime i tug even slightly at it...but isnt that also the case with male pattern baldness?...i'm also losing most of my hair from the front right side of the head, the rest of the head is all diffuse with a slight temple recession but the majority of the hairloss is from the frontal right side. most of them short hair (half the length as the rest of the hair on my head). my question is..how do you tell t.e from male pattern baldness..
the hair i lose...the bulb at the end is almost undetectable (very small)...you can just make out a slight bump at the end of the hair. and its not white either..
also do not have any itching, flaking or inflamation. when i part my hair (middle parting) the hairloss on the left side is undetectable but the right is noticeable since hairloss is from right side.
help diagnosing
