I posted a few days ago picture of my scalp and concerns for amount of hair falling out (more than usual). People who responded indicated picture did not clearly show hair loss. I went to dermatologist today. The dermatologist told me that I have good hair for my age(30), and that she did not recommend propecia yet as she did not see signs of male patterns baldness. She spend a good 15 minutes with me asking questions, and then took a look at scalp and passed her hand over(she said it was a test they do to hair).

She diagnosed me with telogen Effuvium, which apparently is an increase in hair falling out caused by stress. She told me that the good thing is that it is reversible. She also found a very small bald spot on back of head, and dandruff. I was recommended to practice relaxation techniques( I have been quite stressed this past year), prescribed a dandruff shampoo, and recommended viviscal vitamins to help with hair while stress levels go down. She injected an steroid on the bald spot. She recommended a follow up in a month to see progress. Any of you experience Telogen Effuvium before?
