DHT vs Testosterone

I'm starting to see increased hairloss at the front of my scalp and decided to try some products out. I've ordered some Revivogen and Tricomin.

The problem is that I'm also an amatuer bodybuilder, and I wonder whether Tricomin will affect by body's testosterone and estrogen levels. My intuition is that it will only affect DHT levels on the scalp.

Is this correct or will it also affect testosterone and estrogen levels in the body?

Tricomin doesn't affect serum androgens.

Same answer, being a topical treatment little (if any) of the active ingredients are absorbed systemically and will be metabolized almost completely at the site of application (your scalp).

So, no, it will not affect your androgen levels.

I must have posted this a 100 times. :D

Revivogen/spironolactone/[insert other internet treatment name here :d] are in the same category -- I think all of them are snake oil. Proof? If it really worked, I would bet $100000 that a pharma company would have bought it up and re-packaged it by now. As that wise woman once said, "Where's the beef" in this case "Where's the clinical trial?"

Seriously, show me real clinical trials that prove some efficacy, otherwise I think it's all snake oil :(

Ok, please send the PubMed link that shows they work according to a double blind study. Thank you. :p :) :hairy:

With all do respect, if people think it's working for them, Great! :) Frankly, I think its all placebo effect, but heck its their/your money not mine.

Ok, just to double check I went to this sites Revivogen page.

You have got to be kidding me. The proof of product efficacy is showing studies on the INGREDIENTS in the shampoo effect in HAMSTERS and RATS?? NOTE: Not on the shampoo, just the stuff they threw in it to make the shampoo, in animal models. And these studies weren't even evaluating hair growth! lol. Thanks, I needed a good laugh this morning! :D

Ya, sounds like resouding clinical evidence to me! :) I am a convert, and I am going to buy 10 bottles right now! :) lol, sorry for the sarcasm but really if you say it works for you, FANTASTIC. But my PhD in biochem causes me to find this hilarious. :)

When I stop using crinagen for over a week the shedding begins. I have tested this a lot of times. My scalp becomes itchy and there is a lot of shedding. Ever since I started using Crinagen, my hair has stopped shedding a lot to almost no shedding.Revivogen is the same and maybe even better than Crinagen. I'm sure it isn't a placebo effect. I have been using it over 2 years.
