Dht Levels Tested On The High Side 23m

Hey guys, I recently got my DHT levels checked about two weeks ago and they're on the high side at 81ng/dL. The max in the "normal" range is 85ng/dL. My family has pretty good hair genes (no ones bald, worse is a NW2.5 and that's my grandpa at 80 years old) and I'm at a NW1.5. Should I be worried about this advancing since my levels are rather high? Is is possible that I for some reason have high dht while my family had low dht? My testosterone is 578ng/dL.

I've been already taking saw palmetto for about 4 months or so. Should I stop this? Or is is possible that my levels would be even higher without the saw palmetto?

I also take borage oil, biotin, omega 3 fish oil, pumpkin seed oil, zinc, b3 supplements.

On average, people who bald do not have higher DHT than people who don't bald. They're merely more sensitive to DHT, somehow.

How old are you?

The effects of all your supplements on DHT is unknown. They might be having no impact, or even detrimental impact on your health.

I'm aware of that. But maybe my hair follicles have a max dht of like 75 but I'm at 81. So my hair is still pretty strong because I do have good hair genes but can't handle that bit of extra dht? I'm 23 and a half.

Also would I have less chance of side effects if I use finasteride since I'd still be within normal range since my dht is so high initially? I'd only use 0.25 daily.

There's unfortunately no research on how sensitivity to finasteride sides correlates with blood hormones.

There's no way to know that sorry.

Basically, you need treatment if your hair is receding at an unacceptable rate. That's our pirmitive level of knowledge.

I consider finasteride to be dangerous personally. Try either microdosing finasteride, or ordering RU 58851 or CB 0301 off the black market. Buy a Nizoral 1% tomorrow.

If it is receding, it is doing so at a very very slow rate. I've monitored my situation for the past year and a half (with pictures and all that) and I haven't seen much change, if at all. But my temples do go back a bit to put me at around a NW1.5-2.

Also I already use regenepureDR and NT which have ketoconozal in them. I've used lots of ketoconozal shampoos for sebhorehic dermatitis over the last 2 years.

My opinion is a minority one so take it with a grain of salt,

Within ~1 year, we will know if each of Brotzu, setipiprant, work as their trial results should be out. Histogen is coming out in two years. If your recession is slow, don't risk finasteride. You might get permanent erectile dysfunction. At worst, microdose finasteride or try RU 58851, which is what I'm doing.

If you want to speculate, consider ordering some stemoxydine or getting in on the Brotzu group buy.

What amount for microdosing? Also wouldn't the half life make it so that after 6-7 hours that dose of finasteride isn't doing anything anymore? Sounds like a good way to constantly have your hormones fluctuating.. which could put your body in extreme stress and cause telogen effluvium.

I might be wrong but someone correct me if I am, the half-life of finasteride is more for how long the drug stays in your blood, once it actually binds to the 5ar enzyme it takes a couple weeks for your 5ar to go back to normal

What matters with finasteride is that the blood produces 5-alpha reductase very slowly. I think the skin might produce it more rapidly but I'm not sure.

My suggestion for finasteride is ~0.03 mg/day for people starting out, which you can make by dissolving a single pill in some vodka. See how your body responds to that microdose before going up.

That is interesting, do you have any studies that show this? Also after disolving a pill into vodka do you know how long this solution would stay accurate for? It seems like it might start degrading or if the alcohol evaporates, the concentration would become higher per mL.

Finasteride is soluble in alcohol, so it should stay dissolved indefinitely. Leave it out of sunlight though.

One guy tried that recently, but he's very sensitive to finasteride. Even 0.03 mg/day was giving him sides, so he stopped.

I might post the studies later, I don't feel like looking for them now as I'm on vacation, but you can search for finasteride studies on this account, and maybe read through the threads on "microdose / microdosing" to find out what people are doing.

just take finasteride, dosage barely matters. Millions of people all around the world take finasteride for enlarged prostate and are fine.

Lol @ this guy saying he thinks finasteride is dangerous, but then giving advice on taking unknown experimental drugs. Like wtf?
