i have always believed diet contributes to DHT levels.... i think my hairloss was contributed by my crap protien diet when i was at uni... on top of that i was pumping up in the gym 4-5 time a week...

It seemed like a very well written, well informed report until it turned into an ad for saw palmetto.

However, I am a firm believer in "you are what you eat", and I'm sure a good diet would play a significant role in treatment. Hair or not, you still end up having a healthy diet.

I think diet helps, but more along the lines of "every little bit counts". Your diet isn't going to play a significant role in hairloss, unless you're deficient in certain vitamins (such as biotin) and other essentials.

That's exactly what I mean. I quit smoking, and I read that smoking was proven to accelerate the aging process. I figured accelerated aging= accelerated baldness. Even if it wasn't making me go bald I'm sure it wasn't helping my hair either.

I also read somewhere that smoking kills off hair follicles. True or not, I quit to be on the safe side.
