It shows that the drug is being efffectively absorbed and distributed in your body, so yes in theory the drug should work for you.
This is erroneous logic. Just because he has side effects does not in any way, shape, or form imply that he will have results with his hair loss. There have been countless studies done on Finasteride and in no cases has anyone ever demonstrated that side effects equate to increased chance of results. MANY people get side effects from Saw Palmetto and I don't know a single person or a single study where it was shown effective *in the scalp*. As a medical professional you should be fully aware of the difference between systemic reactions and treatment of conditions.
Your chances of results remain at 83%, side effects or not. The only thing side effects can accurately tell you is that your body is indeed responding to hormonal changes. As anyone with a 1st grade level understanding of medicine knows however, side effects have absolutely no correlation to % chance of effectiveness.
