Despite years on the big 3, ITCHY-SCALP has returned.

I've been taking finasteride, applying minoxidil (in various forms) and using Nizoral religiously over the course of about 3 years now.

To cut a long story short, after the demise of Dr Lee I've been stuck with a new minoxidil choice and opted for Genhair's super-sensitive one. After a month and a half, my scalp has become so ITCHY and inflamed it's unreal.

What's more is, as you all know, itchiness is usually the sign of a shed, and boy o' boy I can see myself losing ground in the front right before my very eyes. For the first time ever I am fully aware that the Jude Law island pattern is my destiny.

Really need some expert advice here. Half a bottle of Genhar minoxidil left. 0.5 of finasteride a night. nizoral almost every day to try and fight itchiness.

Is Revivogen a soother? What's the scientific explanation behind the itching anyway? Can get quite bad around the backs of my ears (non balding spot).

THANKS GUYS

revivogen- get the shampoo and conditioner, dont bother with the serum. revivogen shampoo is supremely soothing, and just may help solve your issues (at least to an extent)

for further help with this problem, id look at tricomin or folligen, and maybe at getting a less irritating minoxidil...

Hi Radiomoptophead,

I know this might sound weird but I've only recently been trying things for my hairloss and itchy painful scalp. I've read about tons of stuff like everyone else and tried a few things I bought but the one thing that worked for me and I didn't expect it was.......coconut oil. I'm totally not a all natural type person not that I hate it but never really thought about it too much until recently.

Anways, my head has this weird pain in different areas on my scalp sometimes for days or gets itchy. Well, I read that coconut is a natural anti inflammatory and it can grow hair. Of course people online says it does and people that say it doesn't. I used to use Latisse for my lashes and stopped and they shrinked back down to nothing. So, I rubbed some oil on my lashes at night and noticed about two weeks later my lashes were longer and growing. Well, I decided to rub some on my head in the itchy or painful spots and a few hours later it felt better. So, I would leave it on overnight and the next day it wouldn't hurt or be itchy. I've been doing this on my head for just a couple of weeks but I'm putting it on every few nights for a few months to see what it does for my hair because now it's been 4 weeks for my lashes and they are double the length, it's crazy and I'm a total nonbeliever of anything really working....it's cheap to at least try it. I bought the virgin organic coconut oil for about $7....Good luck.

sorry so long....
