Dermatologist

Hi Folks, just wondering what peoples experiences are if any of seeing a dermatologist. I like many people here have noticed some recession, my wife thinks I dont have anything to worry about. Im keen to see a dermatologist just to get a second opinion and talk about maybe starting finasteride - however the consultation fee is pretty high so Im a bit unsure of jumping into it without a few second opinions.

You could try to find another doctor that isn't as costly. Without insurance my dermatologist charges 50 bucks for almost all visits.

Main question is it worth seeing him at all?

I think it would be just to know for sure. Just so you feel like you're not wasting time you could ask the dermatologist about any other things you're worried about that isn't hair-related. I asked mine to check my moles for skin cancer since it runs in my family.
