Dermatologist won't prescribe propecia...

My Dr. says there are new concerns surrounding whether or not finesteride is a carcinogen and he does not feel comfortable prescribing it. He's a brilliant guy, but from the preliminary research I did on scholar.google.com, I did not find any evidence to support this. On the contrary, they are prescribing propecia for men with prostate cancer.

Has anyone else heard this claim?
