Dermatologist question...

I'm 20 yrs old and I want to get on Propecia for maintenance. My dad won't let me get on propecia unless a doctor okays it. I recently went to a pharmacy and asked the guy about propecia. He asked me how old I was... I said 20. He said that the derm. probably wouldn't prescribe propecia for me. He was saying that I was too young. I thought you had to be 18?

I'm setting up an appointment with a derm very soon;I'm 20 and a pretty healthy guy....Is there any reason for the derm to say no for propecia?

I see no reason why you couldn't take propecia. I think they just want you to wait until after puberty so the propecia can't possible alter your development.
