just out of curoiusity, has anyone asked their dermatologist about hair cloning, like maybe they have the inside scoop on how its coming along??? just wondered because i rememberf i asked my derm if there was anything on the horizon and he said not really, propecia is going to be the only thing for a while with so few side effects.

I haven't asked a derm personally. I suggest you check out some online medical journals, they are goldmines of information.

Your average Derm probably wouldn't be privy to any information that we don't know of considering the stories I've heard here about their lack of knowledge about Propecia, et. al.

Expect cloning to be a highly exotic and highly EXPENSIVE (like, forget about it unless you are LOADED) treatment when it comes out and for a long, long time. It is not the island oasis you think it will be. You'd better have good credit and be prepared for a FAT payment every month. Like a mortgage.

I've read that it might only be 3-5 times as expensive as a hair transplant when/if it becomes available. Still alot, but the benefits might be 3-5+ times as great. I'm not thinking too seriously about it since it will probably be 10 years at least before it comes around. I just keep hope that I won't spend my later adulthood getting balder and balder. LOL maybe I won't have hair for my own wedding but I will for my kids' weddings. :hairy:
