Dermaroller 1.5 Mm Shedding? Anyone Else? Tips Are Welcome!

Hey there guys,

I recently, about 5 weeks ago, started a treatment with a Dermaroller that has 1.5 mm needles. It hurts quite a bit but the redness and little wounds are gone within a couple of days. I see tiny little hairs coming out but I'm not sure if they were there before. You cannot see it on pictures I took before.

Anyway, right away when I started using the Dermaroller with 1.5 mm needles I noticed more shedding. Before that, the shedding was quite stable. Maybe I would have 1-2 hairs on my hands but that was about it.

I have been using a 0.25 mm Dermaroller for the last year but that yielded little results. At best it stabilised the situation while I supported the rest of my hair with trioxidil (a weird alternative for Minoxidil since you cannot get that anymore in the Netherlands).
Now, since I am using the 1.5 mm needles once a week, I dropped the 0.25 Dermaroller to just once a week. I don't want to hurt the skin too much. However, since then, I have noticed more shedding.
  • Did anyone else experience this?
  • Is it seasonal shedding?
  • Any tips on reducing the shedding?

Regimen 2019 - Feb 2020:
  • 0.25 Dermaroller Daily - Trioxidil
Regimen Feb 2020 - now:
  • 1.5 Dermaroller once a week
  • 0.25 Dermaroller once a week
  • Trioxidil every day except on the day that I use the 1.5 dermaroller.
Thanks in advance!
