Just a quick update, I've ordered Proscar, Nizoral and Kirkland minoxidil so the regime starts next week! Two points though:

I keep hearing that the lower the finasteride dose, the better your pipes. So I'm thinking of cutting each pill into 1/6ths.

I seem to have naturally puffy eyes and I'm worried that water retention might make this even worse. So I'm thinking of using less than 1ml a day (since I'm only using the temple and a bit on the crow) or perhaps one dose a day?

Your help as always is appreciated

I'd start out with between 1 and 1.25 mg and lower it as needed.

Regime has begun! 2 packs of 28 tablets of Proscar 5mg, 12mths supply of Kirkland and 2% Nizoral arrived today! Here's my regime, please let me know what you think

Each tablet of Proscar split into 1/5 or 1/6, taken daily
2 daily applications of Kirkland, around or just below 1ml applied (mainly to temples)
Nizoral every 3 days
A break every saturday or sunday from Kirkland (to give scalp a rest, also too much may cause puffy eyes, I problem I have before even beginning my regime)
Multi Vitamin taken everyday

UPDATE--------

So its been six months since the regime began and heres the good news. No shedding has occured whatsoever and ive even stopped using the Nizoral as ive no flaky scalp. I use 1/5 proscar every day and two Minoxidil applications. To be honest I tend to miss the 14 per week applications, its usually around 10-11 because of returning home drunk at night or too late for work in the morning!

Anyways enough babbling, again here is me in August

And here is me now

http://img299.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ledxy1.png

Now the second pic can be a bit decieving. The hairline is definetly improved but im still not at the stage where I can think about growing a fringe or slick my hair back. Theres a lot of new hair on the temples but its still not as thick as the middle and im now sure if it will be. HOWEVER hairloss at the front seems to have stopped so I've just growing my hair and learning not to worry about it. Have an excellent barber too, trust me guys this is a MUST!

Also if you remember back in aug my main prob was the temples. Now while they seem to have stopped the crown started to recede tremendously around Sept but is startin to calm down a bit now.

Anyways sorry for all the rambling, I'll post another update in 6 months where hopefully there will be more coverage on the temples and that nasty crown will be under control. Feel free to ask me q's or share your thoughts. Thanks

i would call that success, tough to really tell with the picture quality, and the different hair length, but it appears that there is some clear reversal in the hair miniaturization going on around the hairline

i would say congrats :!:

your hairstyle works great for what you have too, as you mentioned
