Today I noticed a lot of dead skin patches like dandruff on my hair, but really BIG skin patches.
I usually wash with Head n Shoulders anti dandruff for greasy hair and nizoral 2x week, today I had washed with just HS.
I didnt really have a lot of time to run my fingers through my hair after drying so I didnt notice imediatly just later on.
Well,here it is:

My sister was like "eew" but she works in a hospital she must have seen pretty sick stuff,so she was just mocking me.
These arent the big patches, one of them was more than 1cm diameter.
It was only on the top near vertex and vertex of my scalp.
Do you guys know why this happened?
Is this a good or a bad sign?Maybe fresh new scalp for my hair is coming.

why? The patches arent bloody and only one or two had had a single hair attached.
They were all clean dead big patches of scalp skin.

I believe IBM has showed you some of his patchy skin,it doesnt seem to resemble mine.
You guys havent flaked this much at one time?
Maybe healthy skin is blossoming now.

dude chill. It's dandruff. Happened to me. It happens because of minoxidil (alcohol in it). It happens because you didn't take the dandruff off and it was gradually building up (or the skin was drying from the alcohol) from minoxidil applications. Then one day is just starting to come off. I managed to minimize it by:

washing with T/Gel

not scratchin my head

always checkin' my skin after blowdrying

stopped nizoral, it made my skin really dry and it was the main reason the big pieces of skin were falling off

It wasnt the minoxidil, I dont put minoxidil at vertex.
It was probably from nizoral, but I only wash 2x a week.
I have dandruff at front but this was unexpected,it was in the back and huge patches all of a sudden.

I also get those dead skins. I dont find them a threat.

Ian Curtis you need to wash your hair everyday. Buy Ecophan shampoo and rotate it with Nizoral (use Nizoral only twice a week).

I hope you get better.

you have sebhoric dermatitis or whatever that is called.

you dont have male pattern baldness

it seems your hairloss is coming from that SB.

you need to see a derm because that dry patching flakes is a good sign you have SB.

I really don't think so!! I also had small dandruff before using any treatments and after I started minoxidil and Nizoral this thing started. I think it's a combination of minoxidil+Nizoral+cold weather+wearing hats.
