Does anyone use this? I went to my dermatologist to get a refill of propecia, and asked him about nizoral...he went off and said that nizoral has not been proven to do anything, blah blah blah....i wanted to point him to this forum. :) anyway, i asked him what shampoo to use, and he said a good thickening shampoo is daragen? does anyone use this? and if so, any good results? or should i stick with the nizoral?

i use nizoral 1% 3x week, t-gel the other days.

print up a study on Nizoral and show it to him. That'll shut his mouth.

Nizoral is proven, alright. And it works for a lot of us here. Keep using it, buddy.

Never heard of Daragen, though.

well, its funny, because ive done a little homework on the subject...i asked him about avodart, and he said that he has not read anything about it being used for hair loss...then i brought up the nizoral, and he shot me down again. come to think of it, i really dont like that guy :)

off-topic from my topic, but its funny, because i seem to be going through the typical stages everyone else has to a T. the only difference is that i dont think i have "typical" male pattern baldness - at least not yet - im not really receding, and my only two problem areas right now are my temples, but above my hairline. anyway, 3-5 months, i was shedding a LOT (didnt know it was supposed to happen - i was freaking out)...i came on here, i became reassured things would get better. its now almost time for month 7...things have been ok lately, but i seem to be getting a little thin again....i come on here and read how people have seen a lot of improvement from 8-12 after problems in 6-9. its amazing how every time i come here (only when i start freaking out, usually), i find quite a few people who just went through the same problem and are now doing better. thank god im going bald in the 21st century, where i can inform myself properly and learn from others who have gone through the same things i have. i really love this place.

Can you provide evidence that Nizoral grows hair - not a study that it should in theory - but that it does? Before/after pics with just Nizoral as the sole treatment? I've not seen anything to support your claim...not that it doesn't exist - just haven't seen it.

FYI, I do use it - but as a dandruff shampoo.

Good point, I've never seen pictures taken with Nizoral, actually.

I have read one or two studies comparing the haircount of Nizoral 1% & 2%, though.
