Hi, i'm a 20 year old male,

Is it possible that my hair is thinning because I have damaged it too much?

I blow dry it every day using a curling brush and wash it with finesse shampoo which makes me have greasy hair at the end of the day.
My scalp itches throughout the day as well.
I tried not using the blow dryer last night and I saw that the middle line got slightly smaller.

My parents and brother still have their hair. My dad started losing a little when he turned 45. he's now 57 and still has a pretty full head of hair.

Also, i have not cut my hair once in 4 years.

If I cut it real short, will it grow healthier and thicker as it was before?

thanks in advance

It will look healthier if you cut it short doesn't mean it will grow healthier or thicker as it was before (thats a myth).

Damn dude! i seriously doubt that is hair damage by hair product or blow drying. For me that looks like a clear case of mid scalp thinning aka male pattern baldness! I would get onto propecia straight away, something is not quite right there. I think you losing and losing it fast. Family history doesnt matter that much. You could of inheritated a gene much further back in your family tree with male pattern baldness.

My advice is get of Propecia pronto! And cut your hair down to a more managable typical guy haircut with spikes or whatever, it will look alot healther as the poster above me pointed out and wont require all this crazy maintaince ur currently giving your hair.
