Cutting the width of a base by biohair vs more

So I have measured my balding area and it is 10X5 inches and I was wondering if there are other methods in cutting in regards of the width, like is adding 0.5 inches for example would give a better looking hair system?

Are there are any calculations to be done in regards to the temples and their recession?

Something to consider when cutting the hair piece: When there is overlap with your own hair on the rim where the tapes or glue goes, it is possibly harmful for your own hair. When removing the hair piece, the old tapes/glue on the hair piece will pull out your own hairs below it and this can cause thinning.

Systems are made to attach to skin, not hair (with very rare exceptions).

When you measure your balding area, make sure you go as far as the hair starts to be thick, otherwise the blend won't work.
