Cutting pills

Hi i'm thinking about going on finasteride and been reading people cutting pills. Sorry to sound dumb but are you guys cutting the pills with a dedicated pill cutter or just a standard knife?
Dont the pills crumble?

Standard knife. It crumbles a little bit but the trick is to lay the knife right down on the pill and lightly press. Then it breaks lightly in half, then I do it again to get it in quarters.

pill cutter is best way by far and fastest. pick one up from a drug store I got one that has a lil storage bin air sealed for the cut pieces. it takes me about 10 secs tops to cut my fincar into 4 equal pieces and there is no crumble at all which is surprising. once you try going for 5 pieces you start to waste a lil pill so usually people just do 4 pieces.

You can get a pill cutter from almost any place. I have a pocket size one that I got one from forgettingthepill.com for $10. I'm sure you can find em cheaper in stores but whatever.
