Cutting Hair Few Months After Fut Transplant

Hey guys,

I had an Fut procedure done in September, 1000 graphs in the front and temples of my hairline. It was my second procedure. I got conned into a FUT hair transplant at a young age (yupp one of those guys :( ) or I NEVER EVER WOULD have gotten an FUT done at this day and age and esp how I enjoy to wear my hair.

My question is how short can I cut the top without people noticing the graphs in the front. I just want to have the proper length or number safety net before I start chopping it off. I tend to wear my hair longer on top but I have had a few issues lately. My hair has become very unmanageable throughout my hair line. It is curling over in unnatural directions and I am hoping this isn't a result of the transplant growing in - literally changing the direction of how my hair use to fall. I am guessing it was probably a result of the shampoo I was using. Well hoping anyway! So until I can get things under control I would like to go as short as possible!

Thanks.

Sure. The first few are before the hair was extremely damaged. I apologize I didn't get up close with the first few, I wasn't taking them for any other reason but to track my hair progression.

But as you can see with the first three...before my hair was damaged. You can see the hair falling and curling over in a natural healthy way. The first two are back from when I was still 6 to 8 wks out from surgery. Who would of thought I would look better with half my front line missing!! The next two are just a few wks ago, I felt like I needed to add them just to show the drastic change in my hair from how good it looked to how royally screwed it is.

As you can see with the next one. It is the same length from the previous two but my hair is curling and moving like IM BOZO THE CLOWN.

The last three you can really tell how the hair is curling into the center of the scalp (almost like a venus fly trap motion. And it not only looks bad but you can really notice the work I have had done in the front now because the hair is so damaged as well as curling away from the front.

I should add that I was using a 2 and 1 shampoo from the company Monat. It was before all the allegations and based off a recommendation from a family member. The sad thing is my hair looked great for the past 3 months. I have been on the Monat since my surgery in September. I recently stopped.

I need to cut away the damage and the split ends in my hair. But as you can see from the last picture my hair is in really really bad shape. I would buzz it under normal conditions but with the hair transplant that option is off. I feel like chopping it down could help dramatically. Or it could make it look worse. I'm not entirely sure.

Def time for a hair mask!
