cutting finasteride - loses effectiveness?

i've heard people say buy 1mg finasteride and not the 5mg pills because when you cut the pills into 1/4's it loses the coating which helps with absorbtions, etc.

is that true??

I went from .5mg finasteride for almost 3 years to quartered 5mg tablets. I didn't lose any additional hairs.

well,this is a bullshit for me..i am using finasteride,and i am cutting that pills,so what? i didn't had regrowth or what? quit this stuff seriously it's stupid.If it was like that..why finasteride is not vacuumed..come on.. :thumbdown2:

I wouldn't necessarily split an entire supply at once just in case. I split two 5mg pills at a time which lasts me just over a week.
