Cutting Finasteride 5mg tables to fifths

Hi all,

As a lot of ppl do, I get an Rx for 5mg Finasteride(normally used to treat prostate problems in older dudes) and cut the tablets into fifths to approximate 1 mg propecia. Its worked ok for me over the years, but does anyone think the pill cutting is supposed to be an exact science? I've heard of ppl on this forum actually buying pill cutters to get exactly 1 mg per chunk of the original 5mg tablet. I USE A SWISS ARMY KNIFE AND MY GOOD EYE to roughly cut the oddly shaped pill down into 5 pieces. Sure, some pieces are going to bigger or smaller, but the end result is close enough isn't it?

hi I am sure that 0.0xx mg won't make much difference.

I cut it into 4ths, which is Much easier. I used to use a pill slicer but now i just break them with my fingers.
