Hi everyone. I'm a 24-year-old who's been on Propecia for 6 months. Side effects are present, but for me, negligible. I'm not sure about its efficacy for me yet. I'm either going through a second shed, which I understand to be relatively common, or Propecia just isn't cutting it in my case. I plan on waiting a year (from my first dose) before jumping to any conclusions. After all, I always shed in the summer (I'm losing eyelashes and eyebrow hairs like crazy, too. wtf?)

As part of my dutasteride research, I want to hear from other men who have been using it. There are plenty of dutasteride threads on here, but they always seem to be clogged with posts by people who have never really used it. I want to hear from people who use, or have used, dutasteride. Good stories, bad stories, whatever. Hopefully it will be a helpful for other dutasteride-curious people who are considering a switch.

So, people who have used or are using dutasteride, what's up? Why did you switch? How are/were your side effects? Where did you source your dutasteride? What is/was your dosage? How long have you been/were you on it? And its efficacy?

Thanks everyone.

I was on the big three for two years. I switched from finasteride to dutasteride (genuine avodart) about month ago, one capsule a day.
I had terrible sides for the first five days. I couldn't "feel" my dick and my libido went down. I almost quit it but I remembered I had the same symptoms for a few days when I started finasteride two years ago. Now it's like before with no sides at all. It's obviously too early to tell if it's regrowing anything.

Thanks finn, I hope it works better for you. If I go on it, I'll be sure to wait it out.

Who else? Success stories? Horror stories? New users? Long-time users?
