What is the youngest age that you should be able to get a hair transplant given that you are on finasteride to prevent further hair loss? I don't plan on getting one now cause I'm only around a Norwood 1.5, but I am just wondering.

Also, are FUE hair transplants really this good:
? That is very impressive for the amount of recession that dude had.

Well I believe they usually recommend to wait to get one until your hair loss pattern is set. different ages for everyone though.

Yeah but that's the thing. If you are on finasteride then your hair loss pattern might not be set because you are not losing any hair.

If you don't plan on getting off finasteride and it is working for you, would it be safe to get a transplant at any age? Also, are hairline transplants usually as good as the video I posted above? Because that is incredible.

It depends. With or without treatment, your hair is never going to fully "set" as you will eventually lose more hair, whether that's 30 years from now when it won't matter as much, or a few years from now if finasteride loses it's effect.

If down the line you decided you wanted a transplant and were prepared to have more procedures in the future if your hair does worsen, then go for it. However, it's probably not a good idea to get a transplant at a young age, even if finasteride is working for you as you never know if it's going to stop working, probably best to wait until you're at least in your mid 20's.

As for the quality of hair transplants, it really depends on your donor area and how skilled the surgeon is. If you're in the UK, it's best to travel abroad to get it done as it's extremely expensive in the UK and from seeing other peoples results, surgeons in the UK seem less skilled.
