Curious about Dr. Lee.

I have a question that some may feel is blasphemous around here. first of all let me say that I have done marginal research, so please forgive me.

I am just looking for reassurance since I will probably start purchasing his medicine but...

How did Dr. Lee become such an accepted and trustworthy source of hairloss treatment medicines. basically, when did people start taking notice. andhow do we have any proof that his stuff works. I am so tempted to just get rogaine because it is fda approved.

What gives people the assurance that Dr. Lee's medicine is legit?

once again, i am not doubting. i just want to hear what people have to say

I think he was one of the first to really come out with other versions of hairloss treatments that worked on some level besides the countless snake oils out there. He was also one of the first to tackle hairloss on the internet, as you can see by his site he has left the original web page design intact in an act of nostalgia.....

Also, he knows his stuff and his most successful marketing campaign is simply answering the countless swarm of email that gets sent his way, he probably spends only an hour or two a day answering emails, people post his responses, word spreads, free advertising. Doing so has made him an icon and very wealthy. The simple fact is, for those of us who want fast drying Minoxidil or have an allergy to PPG, this is our only choice if we want to use Minoxidi. Were someone else to come out with something similar, I am all for it and will try it.

Plus discovery channel featured him on hairloss once, and so have a few magazines.

As for his products, I don't really buy into his Xandrox. I am sure it works a little better than regular Minoxidil but IMO it is not worth the price especially when compared to effectiveness to other DHT blockers (sorry Bryan). As for his regular Minoxidil, I use it because it dries fast and the added alcohol makes it absorb better. Plus the extra PPG in off he shelf Minoxidil made my scalp itch.

He has been around for a long time, if his products didn't work on some level he would be gone by now.

No that’s smart, question everything and you won't get scammed. That’s what we are here for.

I have used item 500 for over a year by the way.

FDA approved doesn't necessarily mean a whole lot except the fact that the product's creators have deep pockets. Dr. Lee sells minoxidil, which is the same chemical that is in Rogaine. His minoxidil and variants of minoxidil may have a different vehicle and/or added chemicals, but the heart of it is the same thing. There is no point for Dr. Lee to submit his products for FDA approval because A) a very similar product has already been approved, and B) it would cost him a small fortune.

I have used many products that aren't FDA approved (namely herbs ... nobody is going to pay for herbs to be FDA approved when anybody with the right tools can produce them) that have worked wonders (non-hairloss related).

I use his Xandrox, and so far have been happy with the results. I do feel it is overpriced, but my theory is keeping azelaic acid on my scalp three times a day (I also use Revivogen) might just be my best defense to dht at the moment without finasteride (that's my theory for now at least).

Dr Lee sells Minoxidil. He states clearly on his website and on each of the bottles that he sells that what he is selling is Minoxidil.

All he does is slightly change the carrier substance the minoxidil is suspended in, adding in a bit more alcohol, and a bit less PPG. He sells this for $16 a bottle, as compared to $20+ for brand name Rogaine.

He does not advertise, from what I know, and he does not pop onto websites such as this as other true 'snake oil' salesmen have done to go trawling for money. He is a well-established physician in the hairloss community, and he sells minoxidil.

minoxidil has been FDA approved for hairloss treatment, no matter if it is Rogaine or Dr Lee or Kirkland, or any of the other myriad producers of this chemical. Many of us here like Dr Lee's minoxidil because his 10% shift in the alcohol/PPG balance makes it a lot easier to apply. And that, my friend, is pretty much the only difference between his minoxidil and Rogaine.

I just feel like his minoxidil was designed by someone who knows what it is actually like to have to use minoxidil every day, as opposed to Upjohn who designed a vehicle substance for optimum shelf stability and bulk-sales economics. In a nutshell, his minoxidil is less greasy.

Dr. Lee is a very reputable man. he knows his stuff. First af all, about FDA approval...The minoxidil inside Xandrox or other Dr. lee's other products is the SAME as in Rogain. The preparation is SOOOO simple (dissolving Minoxidil in alcohol, then adding/mixing with PPG) that the would be absulutely no difference in the effectiveness between Minoxidil products.

He also offers minoxidil with addatives, such as retionoic acid (which is important, and also backed by a research that is more effective than minoxidil aloe) and azaleic acid. These products are unique, and he one of the only guys who make it. Even if you don't count on retinoic acid or azaleic acid, their peresence in the minoxidil solution won't change the effectiveness of minoxidil which is already inside, and maybe even increase it. Not to forget his absulutely unique 15% and 12.5%!!!!

His stuff ships in VERY quickly which is also very important (Nobody want's to run out of minoxidil because the shipping is late....)
He responses to all email he gets, and with all dignity and professionality.
He won't sell you sh*t, or stuff he's not sure of...Admit it, he could add all sort of things in minoxidil like green tee, B6, omega-3, etc etc etc...but won't do it because he's not sure enough these things work.

I live in Israel and Regain here costs a lot! There's a generic product but also costs a lot. So, funny as it sounds, ordering minoxidil (plain or xandrox) from dr. Lee + shipping to Israel costs me half the price!!!!

So, you hace ALL the reasons why to buy from dr. Lee. He knows what he's doing. (Should I ask him for commition recommending his stuff?? )
