I'm a 19 year old male who has (for actually rather complicated reasons I won't go into) been paranoid about balding for about 7 months now. I posted some photos of my hair last month and the general consensus was no signs of male pattern baldness. My hairdresser told me that there was nothing wrong with my hair.
However, I notice first thing in the morning, when my hair is still messy, there is a bit more of my crown showing than usual. It looks like the hair there curls up a bit at night and exposes more scalp. It could just be a case of messy hair exposing more scalp (and my hair is naturally very messy and curly). Is this normal or is it something to worry about? Also, I notice that when I wet my hair and stick it up, there is sometimes scalp showing. My hair is just over an inch long by the way.
