This is what I've been doing for the last year

0-4 months
1 Propecia in the morning
Rogaine Foam directly onto to the thinning areas at night and morning. Shake it up. Foam it on the scalp and massage it into the scalp.

4-11 months
1 Propecia in the morning
Because of a lot of itching I decreased my Rogaine usage to only in the daytime as I shower usually at midnight and wake up at 7am washing my hair again (7hrs of rogaine on my head at night when sleeeping vs full day) I used Nozoral? and Head and Shoulders to help with the itching.

This last month I ran out of foam and decided just to go with the propecia by itself. Because I hated how the foam got my hair all stiff further increasing how thin it looked.

Last week I refilled my Propecia 3 month supply and bought four more bottles of foam at Costco. As I started to reapply (directly onto my head) I noticed I am losing more hair than usual and my thinning crown is more visible. Is initial accelerated hairloss a symptom of Rogaine Foam? Or should I apply it per instructions instead of squirting it directly onto my scalp?

Has anyone heard if the chemicals in Head and Shoulders cause hairloss?

Thank you in advance

If you stopped foam for a month, it's possible that you started shedding the hairs that foam grew so that's why you're seeing increased thinning.

Was your hair still thinning while you were using foam on a regular basis?
