CRAZY RESULTS...

I came in with the hopes of just gaining some thicker hair along the top and back of my head. I just started my regimen about a month and a 23 days ago and the results are freakin awesome!!!!! My hair is already noticeably thicker AND I see little black prickly hairs covering the ‘entire’ (no exaggeration) part of my temples (what use to be bald area temples). I don't now if I am a really good candidate for the stuff that I'm on or what but my question is this… Do you think those black prickly hairs coming in my temples will grow to be as thick as the rest of my hair? I have taken loads of before shots of my hair in every angle possible with no flash on the camera to distort the lighting and I'm not posting until exactly 1 year of my start date but I am on freakin cloud 9 every morning!!!! Good luck to everyone!! and for all the new comers LISTEN to the experienced posters, they know what they’re talking about and absorb as much knowledge from this site as possible, you won’t be disappointed. To think I was going to see a doctor about a hair transplant. AWESOME SITE GUYS!!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Follow up question, do you think I should skip the 5% minoxidil I use in the mornings and replace it with the 15% minoxidil I currently use for bedtime? I'm thinking it's gotta be the 15% what's doing it here but maybe it's a combination of things?

I'm using the 15% at night time and don't think thats changing anytime soon because of the results.

Good stuff buddy, you on Propecia too?

Yep, using 1 mg of finasteride and at first my libido went bye, bye but now it seems to be leveling off which is a good sign.

For me so far it's been good stuff. I had major headaches for the first week of use which almost ended my use but I read somewhere here that it was normal on minoxidil so I just took alot of aspin :) Headaches are gone now.

As for the 15% during the daytime instead of the 5%, what do you guys think? The 5% also has alot of other ingredients (but also a alot more expensive), which might also be helping so I don't know which way to go?

It's definitely not for the faint of heart :) The add-ons are mainly for good overall health but from what I understand HGH promotes hair growth as well. I threw in L-Glutamine because it boosts up your HGH levels as much as 400% (so they say). but to be honest I am spending around $100 or so a month which adds up to be around $1,200 a year or so. My rational is that I cut my own hair, and don't use any hairsprays, gels etc. which saves me about $400-$500 a year so I'm only in the hole about $700 or so a year which I would gladly spend to grow some hair back. I mean I use-to-use alot of that Topik Fiber stuff and just around 2 months in, I’m using a LOT less. Breathing that stuff in, which by the way is inevitable, can't be good for you. My goal is not to have to use that stuff at all to make my hair look thicker.

Good luck, although put the champagne on ice until you have made a proper assessment of your progress 12-18 months into your regimen.

I would of thought it would be impossible to make gains after only 7 weeks but maybe you have done a deal with the devil?

My regime:

About $1200/year in genuine Avodart alone.
About $500/year in Tricomin
About $200 /year in Rogaine
About $60/year in Nizoral

About $2000... well, great results. Is it worth it?

Trust me, no ones more surprised than myself! I can provide pictures but I really wanted to wait a whole year for the shock value.

umm... I would say hell yeah!!! $2000 for feeling a bit better about yourself I think is well worth it. I think too many people focus in on buying toys, Big screen TV's, Sports Cars etc... and forget the best thing you can invest in is yourself.

True. I would much rather be getting laid with a head full of hair than watching a football game with my bald friends. Lol, I guess that puts things into perspective!

Yes it does. A very warped perspective.

Wow, I take it that, even though my regime has been looked at as "overkill," if I'm experience great results for $2000, then maybe it's worth it.

Anyone disagree?

I say if it works for you than keep to it. How long have you been on your regimen? What kind of results are you getting? I see your using Nizoral 5 times a week. Do you have bad flaking? From what I have read from all of the user forums is that it should only be used at most every three days or so(powerful stuff).

Slow but steady results.
Overall, hairline is coming down, top is thickening up, even when cut with a very short clippers. I'm thinking about adding topical 2% spironolactone to add that "kick." I'm a little upset because I've been without my Tricomin for 4 days already (I haven't received my order yet, it's been about 9 days). Then I'm going on a vacation for another 5 days. I wonder if I'm ever going to get it.

I might quit Tricomin, and then replace it with topical 2% for crown and anterior and 5% for the hairline. I would expect better results with the spironolactone, and it's a bit cheaper, too!

Global, you're one of the reaons why I got started on Avodart in the first place. You started in 2003, right?

I saw your pictures on hairsite.com, I think, and they're great.

How are your results now? Is dutasteride still working for you, you think?

So far my experience with Avodart has been nothing short of incredible.

Thank you for your comments,

to save some cash I would look at some GenHair stuff. I got the site off of some one in this forum. lot of good sh*t there for cheap. I was getting my finasteride from some mexican pharmacy which shippied it in this rediculas packaging which makes me wonder if it is the real deal so I'm going to try to order my next batch from GenHair.
