I am losing my hair as documented here: http://www.hairlosstalk.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?t=31863&highlight=

I haven't started a regimen yet, but will soon.

I've noticed people count the hairs they lose when showering, sleeping etc. I was curious about my loss so I kept track too.

Weird results... I mostly wake in the morning with maybe 1 or 2 hairs on my pillow. I lose maybe 1 or 2 in the shower (that I can see - nothing comes out into my hands when I shampoo/rinse). Nothing comes out when I run my hand through my hair when dry. Even when I rub it aggressively with my head pointed downwards. So what's left seems pretty fixed, heh.

Is this good news for me? It's just when I read some guys saying they're losing 30-100 a day .. my loss isn't anywhere NEAR that. But if my hair's so secure, I'm starting to wonder if my loss is reeeeally slow and how long exactly I've been losing it for!

But if it seems so determined to stay there, maybe I won't get horrible sheds when I start my cocktail of hair restoring drugs & chemicals next year. hehe.

Also, I meant to add; my hair grows REALLY quickly. Like *twice* as fast as anyone elses. I had it cut about 3 weeks ago and it's already grown about an inch since then. I hope this is going to mean I regrow quicker when I'm on the finasteride .. :D

The amount of hair you are losing means sh*t. If you are receding or thinning then you have a male pattern baldness problem. I have also stopped counting because it would cause a mental breakdown every time I found another one of my fallen soldiers lying liveless and dead in my hands or on my keyboard. Good Luck with your regimen!

But for a 5 week period back in 1995, I have never noticed a hair fall out off my head, on my bed, in the shower, etc, yet my hairline retreated over 1.5" so it's gotta be falling out somewhere.
