could this be alopecia areata or just hair thinning?

Don't listen to IBM. He's basically a troll who loves to push pills on everyone. There's no point in taking finasteride if you don't have some sort of male pattern hair loss. It won't work against alopecia areata, folliculitis etc, but you might still get the side effects.

but could somebody tell me if its alopecia areata because i heard if you have it you shed patches and you shed fasttt and these dots been showing within the past year very slowly and you cant even notice a lot

we cant really say that its exactly that, you should probbaly see a derm if you can, it coul dbe many things, forms of stress, folliculitis alopecia areata i dont know personally, but i do know finasteride or n e meds like that wont help, if it is alopecia areatra, let it run its course and the hair WILL grow back and theres no cure for it ne ways, just a curveball genetics may throw at you

i hope to god its not alopecia areata im going to my country in 2 weeks and it usually takes months to get an appointment with a derm here in canada so im gonna go to the doctor on monday and see if he can see what it is ill update here but i really doubt and hope its not alopecia areata because i havent shedded in patches or anything close to that

We all had the same feeling when he started balding. People always said "Oh its your head" "It will grow up" "You're balding? Are you crazy? I would kill to have your hair.". But in the end we came up as balding prowlers.

Just start finasteride. Its a prooved treatment and wont do any harm to do. Just go to a doctor and he'll prescribe finasteride.

nah not as long as u might think, i went to my family doctor and she got me an appointment within a month..i also live in canada
