Could Minoxidil Have Stopped My Hair Loss?

I'm using Minoxidil for over a year and a half and I gotta say my hairline remained pretty much remained the same and its thickness remained the same even though I had bigger hopes for it to improve. I'm not sure, maybe someone can tell me, but after a year cycle of minoxidil, there must be like 1-2 months of rest and I'm about to do that because I'm also going on a vacation and I won't be able to use minoxidil daily.

Now I wanna ask, is it possible that minoxidil has actually stopped my hairloss I mean I know minoxidil can't literally stop hairloss, only blocking DHT can do that, but maybe minoxidil grew other hairs while I kept losing a constant amount of hair? I had some guy on another forum say that he saw most of the pics I took in the last 2-3 years and he basically saw no change, it's the same hairline just that my skull grew over the time and the hairline also changed, not sure if that's really possible tho lol.

When I was 19 I had crown/top thinning and I applied Minoxidil for around 6 months and stopped for 10years and was fine. Did not use any dht blocker. I think hair loss is more complicated than just DHT DHT DHT for some people (while for others, it isn't). Also just because a male is thinning does not mean they have male pattern baldness. The statistic that 95% of men's hair loss is androgenic alopecia is ridiculous.
