Ive recently stumbled across a vitamin called L-Cysteine which people in theory say could help with male pattern baldness, is there any truth in this or is this just another desperate shot in the dark?

No but it would help the quality of the hair you have IF you had a diet that was deficient. Likely you do not however.

L-Cysteine is an amino acid BTW, abundant in eggs among other things.

I eat eggs daily and it DOES make a difference in the appearance of my hair.

Good luck.

It was a useful question. Many wonder about this amino acid, since it is so much a part of the hair structure.

MSM is loaded w/ l-cysteine, and sulphur, which is also great for hair quality. None of these supplements however, will do anything unless you address dht, inflamation etc.

You can MSM at Walmart or health food stores, and its a better route than just taking straight l-cystiene (you can kidney stones if you dont take three times as much Vit C w/ it, see Life Extention Durk Pierson, sandy Shaw) + you get a lot of pure sulphur w/ MSM
