After years of trying different things, for example derma rolling, scalp massaging, even other methods of increasing blood flow and i felt they all encouraged some form of patterned hair loss for me. infact nowadays they also encourage itching too.

Is it possible these methods could actually encourage hair loss for some people? and i don't mean shedding, i mean male pattern baldness.

It does not increase hairloss. Its just that most of the time dht overpowers any treatments for regrowth. So it seems like dermarolling alone or minoxidil alone makes things worse. So if you were on finasteride and started dermarolling you'd see some results most likely. But increasing blood flow will not harm your follicles. It will help but it wont do anything unless dht is blocked. If you're already on finasteride and your losing hair, dutasteride would be the way to go.

Tried both and had an itchy scalp and lost hair with both. Decided to try without them and massaging scalp also makes it itch.

Maybe there is some science to it, or maybe something else is wrong.
