Could Copper Peptides accelerate the greying of hair?

Been doing a bit of recearch into Copper Peptides and one thing struck me. Acordding to this article

buildup of hydrogen peroxide in the hair follicle causes hair to turn grey. And

Various SOD generating products are now available. However, one problem with SOD is the production of Hydrogen Peroxide as a by-product of singlet oxygen (superoxide anion) quenching. In the human body, the enzyme catalase converts the SOD hydrogen peroxide byproduct into water and oxygen.

So doesn't it then stand to reason that copper peptides will accelerate the greying of hair?

According to Dr. Pickart, Copper Peptides can stop greying but you have a good point here.

Gray hair is due to inactivation of catalase. I am not sure what copper has got to do with that. So a conservative answer would be: probably not.

seems to have slowed down my graying.

Purely anecdotal, but it slowed my greying as well. As a matter of fact, it sort of dyes your hair, if anything.

According to Dr. Pickart the ratio between copper and zinc should be 50%-50%.
If there is more zinc than copper, it may accelerate graying.

Copper is the key element in the enzyme tyrosinase which converts the amino acid tyrosine into the hair pigments.
